The oldest municipal park in the city, and which was also the venue for a 1903 national industrial fair. The leisure facilities of that time, including an aquarium, public hall, saltwater bath and swimming beach, have now been turned into such facilities as a baseball ground, swimming pool, gymnasium, sumo ring and monkey island. The Sakai Grand Evening Fish Market held here annually on July 31, is a summer tradition for the city.
Sakai Station on the Nankai Main Line is nearby, and access is also easy from the main roads.
