The four buildings, including the main building and the land, are designated as important cultural properties. The property is located south of Gobyoyama Kofun and surrounded by white stucco mud walls. Passing the front gate, you find the main building and the shikidai entrance hall leading to a zashiki (tatami) room. The Takabayashi Family oversaw 11 out of 33 villages owned by the Shimizu Family, one of the three privileged branches of the Tokugawa family in Izumi Province, and was a noble family allowed to adopt a surname and to wear a pair of swords.
