An old machiya (town house) in Sakai was renovated under the concept of recreating life on the mountain in the middle of the city. The interior and exterior take advantage of the ambience of the machiya building. A signboard with the character "cha (tea)", which is the only remnant from fires during wartime, was brought back to the place of foundation. This teahouse offers services hoping that local people can relax and enjoy delicious tea.
