This station building was constructed in June 1907 by Kingo Tatsuno, renowned for his design of Tokyo Station, at the request of the Tatsuno-Kataoka Architectural Office. It has been selected as one of the Top 100 Stations in the Kinki region and designated as a national cultural property. Currently, it has been relocated to a place 30 meters away for conservation due to the grade separation project of the Nankai Main Line (as of March 2021).
