This old temple of the Obaku school was opened by Zen master Egoku. In its precincts, are the temple gate, the Tenno-den, Daiden (main hall), Kaidan-do, Yosenden, Hojo, and belfry, conveying an image of the temple when it was constructed. It is filled with full-blooming azaleas in April. At the Great Segaki Ceremony (a Buddhist ritual to ease the suffering of hungry ghosts) and the Lantern Festival held every August, approximately 1,000 lanterns are lit.
