“news okaeri,” a news program that airs every Monday through Friday from 3:45 PM, features a Friday segment called “Hiroshi and Sōto’s Street Stroll” (around 5:00 PM). Kansai has a great number of “kaido” (historic roads) such as the Tōkaidō, Saigoku Kaidō, Kumano Kodō, and Saba Kaidō. This segment features veteran announcer Hiroshi Shibata, with over 30 years of experience, and second-year announcer Sōto Nakamura walking along these roads to rediscover the charm of the towns. This time, one of the roads that passes through Sakai City will be highlighted. We hope you’ll all tune in!
